Originality: This amplifier remains in mostly original condition except for the speakers. The original owner has the Altec 425-8H installed in the late 60s early 70s. We would recommend keeping them in because they are exactly what this Super needed. The Altecs provide a hi fi experience that the original Jensen could not produce. The power cord was replaced to a 3-prong. The footswitch is original. The original Schumaker transformers date to the 42nd week of 1951, the 16th week of 1951, and the 46th week of 1951. The tube chart is stamped LA dating the amplifier cabinet to January of 1962.

Playability: This Super is in a class of its own. The Altec speakers are crystal clear, punchy, and tight. They are loud and heavy; a small price to pay for the incredible clarity and tone they produce. The vibrato is warm, lush, and powerful.
