Notes | This guitar had at one point a magnetic neck pickup installed under the fingerboard, with the pole pieces protruding through the fingerboard. This has since been removed and the six holes between the 18th and 19th frets have been expertly filled with matching rosewood plugs. There was a volume control installed through the pickguard. This hole also has been expertly filled with matching tortoise grain material. There was an output jack installed where the endpin was located. This has also been plugged and the factory tapered plastic endpin reinstalled. There are 4 small plugged screw holes visible from a jack plate installation. The original "mustache" bridge has a repaired and stable center crack. There is one repaired and stable top crack visible. A strap button is installed on the side of the neck heel. The guitar has non-original late 1960s "double ring, double line" Kluson tuners installed. These fit the footprint of the original tuners, so the headstock was not altered, no additional holes were drilled. The original gold "hexagon" tuner bushings are still installed, and the original gold mounting screws for the tuners are installed as well. |
